nature-based wellness workshop

This half-day experiential workshop combines active engagement with the natural world along with quiet mindfulness-based stress reduction activities. It was inspired by Missy’s dissertation research with green prescriptions. This workshop was designed to be held locally at the Campbell Pollinator Meadows & River Park in Buies Creek, NC, but can be adapted to other outdoor locations. Contact Missy for details.

Women’s Wellness Mini-Retreat

This half-day retreat is designed to offer dedicated time and space for women to focus on their own individual wellness. In addition to small group therapeutic support and learning, this retreat includes individual mini Reiki sessions, meditation, and personal visioning/goal setting. This retreat was created by Missy based upon the consistent struggles experienced by many of her female clients to prioritize self care. This half-day is all about you. Learning, connecting, and restoring.

LGBTQ+ People of FaithS Mini-Retreat

This half-day retreat is designed to offer LGBTQ+ people of varied faith traditions inspirational connection in a safe, affirming space. In addition to small group therapeutic support and learning, this retreat includes specific exploration of the intersection of faith identity and sexual and gender identity, contemplative practice to strengthen personal connection, and fun activities with LGBTQ+ people of faiths. Healthy Spirituality Seminar Series: Loving God, Loving Others, Loving Yourself

This four-part series explores how faith connects with our psychological health. Topics include: Introduction to Healthy Spirituality, Grief & Loss, Trauma & Spiritual Injury, and Healthy Coping. This series was designed in a joint effort by Missy Stancil, as a spiritually-integrated psychotherapist, with input and support from clergy and lay leaders.
